Youth Co:Lab

Youth Co:Lab, co-created in 2017 by UNDP Asia and the Pacific and Citi Foundation is a multi-dimensional and multi-level response to tackle the challenges young people face by positioning youth front and center to find solutions to today’ s most pressing problems. An offshoot of Youth Co:Lab called Movers was launched in India in 2020 with the aim to equip youth with the tools to take action in their community by organising and facilitating Sustainable Development Goals, Social Entrepreneurship and 21st-century skills training sessions/workshops

Objectives

  1. Youth Co:Lab, co-created in 2017 by UNDP Asia and the Pacific and Citi Foundation is a multi-dimensional and multi-level response to tackle the challenges young people face by positioning youth front and center to find solutions to today’ s most pressing problems.
  2. Youth Co:Lab aims to establish a common agenda for Asia Pacific countries invest in and empower youth to accelerate implementation of SDGs through leadership, social innovation and entrepreneurship.
  3. Launched in India in collaboration with Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog.
  4. An offshoot of Youth Co:Lab called Movers was launched in India in 2020 with the aim to equip youth with the tools to take action in their community by organising and facilitating Sustainable Development Goals, Social Entrepreneurship and 21st-century skills training sessions/workshops.

Achievements

  1. Built the capacity of over 150 social enterprises in India, provided long-term incubation support to 30 social enterprises. Linked social enterprises to Atal Incubation Centres.
  2. Through 16 Movers workshops, we have reached out to 653 participants, with 13 Movers facilitators.
  3. Online participation in Youth Co:Lab India events surpassed 30k views.
